Abstract

After entering the realm of Islam, it is the responsibility of the believers to obey and respect the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). In this regard, many etiquettes of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) have been carefully described in the Qur'an, so that Muslims may not be deprived of any privilege.  Therefore, it is very important to study the ways of honoring the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and his manners. These etiquettes are related to daily routines such as etiquette of entering the house, etiquette of sitting in the meeting, etiquette of talking with him, etiquette of addressing him, etiquette of leaving the meeting and the way to ask you questions. In addition, in the Qur'an, there is an instruction in the rights of Muhammad (PBUH) to keep sending blessings and peace upon him, and also to consider his status high and to follow him in every matter. Pir Karam Shah Al-Azhari in Tafsir Zia-ul-Quran, Syed Abu Ali Maududi in Tafsir Tafheem-ul-Quran and Muhammad Idrees Kandhalvi in Tafsir Maarif-ul-Quran have given their wonderful explanations of the Verses related to the etiquette of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The questions arise as which etiquettes of the Prophet (PBUH) are mentioned in these three commentaries and how can we use these in the present day? This article is being written to address these questions.
